Portland Adult Education

Images from a five year photography project documenting Portland Adult Education in Maine. The students of PAE have many stories - from the native Mainer seeking their high school diploma, to the engineer from another country who seeks to improve their English skills, to the professional hoping to advance in their career. PAE also offers a program assuring that homeless youth have free access to a public education. This collection of images share moments of learning, community, and celebration from the classrooms and graduations over the years.
